After a long flight (or actually numerous long flights) I’m finally in Christchurch for the 11th International Symposium on Fire Safety Science. As I arrived too late, I missed interesting workshops that were arranged earlier today but I will try to drag as much information as I can from colleagues. I’m especially keen to hear about the discussions during the workshop on benchmarking/data sharing.
What lies in front is five fully prepped days on the topic of science in fire safety. Tomorrow starts with a full day of human behaviour in fire, which I will attend. Tonight is spent together with colleagues and friends on the welcome reception at the University of Canterbury!
